Corriedoo Forest lies along the A702 just a few miles to the North-East of New Galloway. At the edge of this forest, on a low mound amongst the hills, is the White Cairn -- not an uncommon name for cairns in this area.
Although it has been robbed of stones it is still impressive, being some twelve feet high and around one hundred feet in diameter.
The blue yardstick that appears in the first two pictures is 5'9" tall.
