Chambered Cairn
Also known as Tomb of Galdus
Cairnholy, above Wigtown Bay near Dumfries, is the site of the remains of two impressive chambered cairns.
Cairnholy II, on top of a small hillock measures 20 metres by 12 metres. Legend has it that this is the tomb of the mythical king Galdus.
